(HARTFORD, Conn.) - Rebecca B. Apollon, M.D., of Northampton, Mass., has joined the Department of Emergency Medicine at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Apollon received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Recently, she completed her emergency medicine residency at Baystate Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine, Springfield, Mass.

Dr. Apollon was appointed Assistant Clinical Associate in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine, Springfield, Mass.

She is currently a member of several organizations, including Women in Medicine, the Connecticut American College of Emergency Physicians and the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Dr. Apollon is board qualified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Founded in 1897, Saint Francis is a major teaching hospital licensed for 617 acute inpatient beds and 65 bassinets and is the largest Catholic hospital in New England.
