(Hartford, CT) – Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is the first hospital in the Greater Hartford area to offer patients, families, and friends a private website to stay in touch while in the Hospital.
CarePages® is a free service that allows the user to create a private, personalized web page where a patient’s condition and progress can be updated; messages can be sent and received; and, information and photos can be shared even if friends and family are many miles away.
“Being in the Hospital is never easy since it requires time away from loved ones. Now, we can offer patients and families a unique way to stay in touch 24-hours a day,” said Christopher Dadlez, President and CEO, Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. “Offering CarePages will allow us to meet both the physical and emotional needs of our patients and their families, another core component of the Saint Francis mission to provide outstanding and compassionate care to all patients,” added Dadlez.
CarePages is a secure website fully in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements. CarePages ensures that patients, families and friends are protected online through strict privacy policies, password-protection and visitor management tools.
